Item 1. The 2nd session of the Sub-Committee on Other Claims regarding general claims was held at 10 a.m. on December 10 at the Japanese Foreign Ministry. Both sides introduced each other some of their respective members who were either newly appointed or absent at the previous session. The Sub-Committee decided to hold next meeting at 10 a.m. on December 17. Early government instructions regarding the guiding principles for negotiations at this Sub-Committee would be highly appreciated.
Item 2. Government instructions also on how to proceed with the 7th session of the Fisheries Committee are urgently requested as it is scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. on December 12th.
