Ambassador Yiu met Asian Bureau Director Iseki of Japanese Foreign Ministry at the latter's request from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today at Kayukaikan. At this meeting Mr. Iseki proposed to Ambassador Yiu something important with regard to the problem of Korean Residents in Japan, covering the problem on compensation. I together with Ambassador Yiu are going to meet Japanese Delegates sometime tomorrow October 24. In this regard I together with Ambassador Yiu would like to make trip to Seoul on Monday or Tuesday October 27 to make report on this important matter to the Government personally. Early Governments authorization for our trip as above would be highly appreciated.
