Title | Sword-carrying Swordsmen | ||
---|---|---|---|
This is a detailed view of the sword-carrying swordsmen in the procession on the eastern wall of the antechamber in Tokhung-ri Tomb. These swordsmen can be seen wearing Geons (a type of ancient headwear that wraps around the entire head and tied in the back, similar to a bandanna) and carrying swords on their shoulders. A mounted military attaché wearing a Chaek (headwear with cone-shaped point) can be seen in the front. These sword-carrying infantrymen are referred to as swordsmen. In addition to swordsmen, the Koguryo infantry included archers, lancers, and hatchetmen.
