This is a detailed view of Yang-guang on the ceiling of the antechamber (eastern wall) in Tokhung-ri Tomb. Eighteen auspicious animals are depicted on the ceiling of the antechamber in Tokhung-ri Tomb. The Flying Fish, Cheongyang, Yang-guang, and an unidentified auspicious animal appear on the eastern wall.
The Yang-guang is a bird with outstretched wings under the eastern sun. The inscription next to the Yang-guang reads, "Yang-guang the Firewalker." The swirling flames at the feet of the Yang-guang are a visual representation of the description of the auspicious animal. The Yang-guang is a symbol of auspiciousness in relation to light and fire.
